Our Activity

Our Organization has been established the Special School in the name of “Uttar Dinajpur Institute for the Mentally Handicapped” since 2003. At - Jharbari, P.O.+P.S. - Karandighi, District - Uttar Dinajpur, West Bengal. To provide them free lodging facility, Education, rehabilitation, training, out door & indoor game and Recreational Activities by trained teachers for Mentally Retarded children. The said Special School has been included Mid-Day-Meal by the West Bengal School Department (primary Branch) since 2007. The Special School has been received the Approval Academic Recognition from Mass Education Extension from Mass Education Extension & Library Service Govt. of West Bengal.

The organization organized awareness camps in the district, village of Karandighi block. It has been discussed the causes and preventions to protect the disability in the society. The Organization has been trying to realize that the handicapped are also a man like other normal. The followings are discussed in the camps –

• Equal right and equal opportunities for the persons with disabilities according to the P.W.D. Act.
• 3% reserved for the disables in govt. jobs.
• How the disables persons use their IDENTITY Card for their facility.
• Opportunity for income generation for persons with disability.
• Comprehensive health care program emphasizing both preventive and promotive health care service for the disabled children through early childhood. Special Education, utilization of Govt. facilities and raising consciousness towards improved life of disabilities children.

The Organization has set up a Old age Home for the Welfare & Protection of the Oldage persons in the Society. There are 25 beneficiaries (elder Persons) are in the Home. The Organization provide shelter, food, cloth, medical care and entertainment to improve their standard living.

The Organization established a Sanitary Mart. The Organization received the order of engagement of TSC (Total Sanitation Campaign) by the Uttar Dinajpur Zillaprishad Under `Sachha Bharat Mission (Gramin)’ Mission Nirmal Bangla. The Organization made Individual House Hold Latrine in Bazargaon-I, Domohana and Karandighi – I Gram Panchayet.

The organization organized awareness Jal Shakti Abhiyan (water wastage). Water conservation,Water purification,”Jal e jiban” are mins moin program of the ‘JAL SHAKTI ABHIYAN’.

Observation of Youth for peace Day The Organization discuss the Speech of Vivekanda on NATIONAL PEACE Day.

Cycle Day :- Cycling (driving of cycle) is a good for health. It regulates the circulation (blood) in the body. It is a part of FIT INDIA.

National Girls Child Day:It is a part of the FIT INDIA. Girls/ women are also important of family or Society. The organization organized program on “Beti bachao beti padhao”,“Save gil, save future’, ‘Save child labour’ etc.

The organization organized Skill Up gradation Training Programme (SUTP) on Beautician Training for youth women & girls for 3 months from 15.12.2019 to 14.03.2020, 30 participants are taken parts in this programme. The programme is arranged with the support of financial assistance of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Uttar Dinajpur.

The organization organized ‘Two days District level Sports’ from 25.01.2020 to 26.01.2020. The organization is organizing sports - Run, Long Jump, Badminton , Football and Volley Ball for boys & girls. Participant attend from Club, Organization & Institution. The Intellectual Disability students participated in this sports programme.

The organization arrange the Distribution programme of Rice and Potato for 200 poor men & women and disability persons in Karandighi Block.

The organization holds program for the road. How to pass the road or how walk in the road. Among the pedestrian and school children we have conducted this programme every year and this year also conducted seminar with Rally.

Teachers of the schools and students and people of the rural and local are come to the library and read the books, magazines, newspapers according to their needs.
